STYLE IMITATING ART (SIA): SIMULTANEOUS DRESSES (THREE WOMEN, FORMS, COLOURS BY SONIA DELAUNAY

Hallo ihr Lieben,

ich habe mal wieder an der Style Imitating Art Challenge teilgenommen. Wenn ihr mehr über diese Challenge wissen möchtet, oder selbst teilnehmen wollt, könnt ihr bei einer der drei Initiatorinnen nachlesen, wie es geht und was ihr machen müsst.

Bei diesem Durchgang ist Terri die Veranstalterin. Sie inspiriert uns mit dem Bild „Simultaneous Dresses“ (Three momen, forms, colours) von Sonia Delaunay, einen Look zu kreieren.

This turn Terry is the curator. She inspires us by Sonia Delaunay´s art work „Simultaneous Dresses“ (Three women, forms, colours) to create a look.

Und das ist das Kunstwerk: / And this is the art work:

Als ich das Bild studierte, war mir sofort klar, dass es dieses Mal nicht mit einem Look getan war, es mussten drei sein. Ich habe daher in meinem Schrank nach drei Kleidern gestöbert, die die Farben der Kleider auf dem Bild aufgreifen, und ich bin tatsächlich fündig geworden. Das erste Kleid ist blau-weiß, das zweite braun und schwarz mit roten Accessoires, und das dritte ist schwarz mit blauem Accessoire. Um die Kacheln in Sonia Delaunays Bild aufzugreifen, habe ich mich beim fotografieren auf einen gekachelten Boden gestellt. Außerdem konnte ich mir nicht verkneifen, am rechten Bildrand zwei Abschnitte mit Kacheln hinzuzufügen, die denen in Sonias Bild ähneln. Auch bei der Farbe des Hintergrundes habe ich mich am Kunstwerk orientiert. Und das ist meine Interpretation:

When I studied the art work I instantly was sure that one look wouldn´t do this time, it had to be three. So I combed through my wardrobe for three dresses with colours, that respond to those in the art work. And I found what I was looking for. The first dress is blue and white, the second one is brown and black with red accessories, and the third one is black with a blue accessory. To respond to the tiles in Sonia’s painting, I was standing on a tiled floor, when I took the photo. And I couldn’t resist to add two differently tiled sections to the right edge of the photo. Also for the background of the photo I picked up the colours of the art work. And this is my interpretation:
