EIN UNIKAT ENTSTEHT: SLIPDRESS MIT SCHLEIFE / A UNIQUE PIECE IS CREATED: SLIPDRESS WITH A BOW

Hallo ihr Lieben,

ich habe schon seit vorigem Jahr mit einem Slipdress geliebäugelt, aber ich habe nie eins gefunden, das mir gefiel bzw. das mir stand. Bis mir dieses hier über den Weg lief. Zuerst hat mich der Stoff angesprochen. Das Kleid ist nämlich aus einer festen Viskose und es ist in sich gemustert. Und zwar handelt es sich um ein Leopardenmuster.

Allerdings musste ich erst Hand anlegen, bevor es so schön aussah, wie es jetzt ist. Das Kleid reichte nämlich bis zum Boden und es hat vorne und hinten einen V-Ausschnitt. Aber es fehlte die schöne große Schleife, die es erst zu dem macht, was es jetzt ist.

Gut, wenn man mit der Nähmaschine umgehen kann!!! Ich habe das gute Stück nämlich 20 cm gekürzt und aus dem abgeschnittenen Stoff eine große Schleife genäht, die ich vorne an den V-Ausschnitt genäht habe. So habe ich ein Unikat gestaltet, das es nicht nochmal auf der Welt gibt. Wenn das nicht cool ist!!!

Na ja, eigentlich entstehen immer Unikate, wenn ich etwas nähe, denn ich mache meine Schnitte normalerweise selbst.

I´ve been flirting with a slipdress since last summer, but I´ve never found one I liked or which looked good on me. Until this one crossed my path. The first thing that caught my eyes was the fabric. The dress is made of a heavy viscose which is monochromed patterned. To be precise, it´s a leopard pattern.

However, I had to work on it before it came out like it is now. The dress had a maxi-length with a V-neck in the front and in the back as well. But it didn´t have this beautiful big bow, which makes it what it is now.

Good if you can handle the sewing machine!!! I shortened the lovely piece by 20 cm and made a big bow of the cut-off fabric, which I fixed to the front V-neckline. So I created a unique piece which only exists once in the world. If that is not cool!!!

Well, in general I create unique pieces when I´m sewing because I normally do my own cuts.

Ich trage unter meinem Slipdress ein T-Shirt. Ohne würde ich mich zu nackt fühlen. Ein schwarz-weiß gestreifter Fischerhut schützt meine Haare vor der Sonne. Außerdem passt er perfekt zu der schwarz-weiß gestreiften Innentasche meiner transparenten Handtasche (s. letztes Bild). Fischerhüte und transparente Taschen sind ja ein großes Thema in diesem Sommer. Silberne Slipper und eine schwarze Cateye-Sonnenbrille runden den Look ab.

I´m wearing a T-shirt underneath my slipdress. I would feel a bit naked without. A black and white striped bucket hat protects my hair from the sun. It also fits the inside bag of my transparent handbag (see the very last pic). Bucket hats and transparent bags are a big issue this summer. Silver coloured slip-ons and black cat eye sunglasses complete the look.

GELBER BLICKFANG / YELLOW EYECATCHER

Hallo ihr Lieben,

wie kann man ein farbiges Accessoire besser in Scene setzen als mit einem schwarzen Outfit? Denn Schwarz bringt jede Farbe zum Leuchten! Und diese hübsche gelbe Tasche hat es doch nun wirklich verdient, dass man sie einmal in den Mittelpunkt stellt, findet ihr nicht? Gelb ist eine meiner liebsten Lieblingsfarben, und daher ist es nicht verwunderlich, dass ich nicht widerstehen konnte, als ich das gute Stück sah. Besonders gut gefallen mir das Schleifendetail und die kleinen Nieten:

can you set a coloured accessory better into scene than with a black outfit? Black makes every colour shine, you know! And this beautiful yellow bag absolutely deserves being put in the center, don´t you think so? Yellow is one of my dearest favourite colours, and so it´s no surprise that I couldn´t resist when I saw this beauty. I especially like the bow detail and the little studs:

BRAUN IST DAS NEUE SCHWARZ / BROWN IS THE NEW BLACK

Hallo meine Lieben,

in einer bekannten Modezeitschrift habe ich vor nicht allzu langer Zeit gelesen, dass die Farbe Braun wieder mehr an Bedeutung gewinnt. Es hieß: Braun ist das neue Schwarz. Und tatsächlich sieht man in den Geschäften, bei Instagram und in den Magazinen wieder häufiger Looks in Brauntönen.

Ich selbst habe jahrelang gar kein Schwarz getragen, sondern immer nur Braun und andere warme Farben. Erst seitdem mein Haar so weiß geworden ist, hat sich das total umgekehrt. Jetzt ist Schwarz meine bevorzugte Farbe, aber ganz abgeschrieben habe ich Braun nicht, wie ihr hier seht!

Zu meinem selbst gestrickten Pullover mit separatem Rollkragen trage ich einen beige-braunen Glencheckrock, braune Booties und eine braune Vintage-Kameratasche.

not too long ago I read in a well-known fashion magazine that the colour brown is gaining more and more attention again. It said: Brown is the new Black. And actually brown looks recently appear more often in the shops, at Instagram and in various magazines.

I myself haven´t worn black at all for many years. Only since my hair has become that white this changed to the opposite. Now black is the colour I prefer, but I haven´t abandoned brown completely as you can see here!

With my self-made sweater with its seperate rollneck I´m wearing a beige-brown Glencheck-skirt, brown booties and a brown vintage camera bag.

TREND-CLASH: 4 TRENDS IN 1 LOOK

Eigentlich wollte ich nur ein Shooting mit meiner Gürteltasche machen, die in den Tiefen meines Schrankes geschlummert hatte. Und da solche Taschen zur Zeit ein Comeback erleben und man sie in allen Zeitschriften sieht, erinnerte ich mich an mein Schätzchen. Schnell hatte ich dann auch ein Outfit gefunden, das die Tasche ins rechte Licht rücken sollte, und zwar:

Mein Streifenkleid mit meinen schwarzen Schnürboots und dazu die schwarze Jacke mit den Trompetenärmeln, die ich in diesem Sommer in Bremen gefunden hatte. Die Boots und die Gürteltasche bewirken den erwünschten Stilbruch, um den Look lässiger und nicht zu aufgestylt daherkommen zu lassen. Als ich das Ergebnis sah, fiel mir auf, dass in diesem Look 4 aktuelle Trends vereint sind:

Streifenkleider
Trompetenärmel
Schnürboots
Gürteltaschen

Yeah, wenn das kein Trend-Clash ist!

Actually I only wanted to take photos of my waistbag, which I had stored in the depth of my closet. And because those bags experience a comeback at the moment, this darling came back into my mind. It wasn´t difficult to find the right outfit to present the bag in the right light, namely:

My striped dress with my black laced boots and the black jacket with trumpet sleeves, which I found in Bremen this summer. The boots and the waistbag cause a desired break, that helps the look appear more casual. and not too overdone. When I saw the pictures I realized that there were 4 contemporary trends united in the look:

Yeah, if that is no trend-clash!

VINTAGE VIBES WITH CAMERA BAG

Neulich habe ich in einem Modemagazin interessante Taschen gesehen, die an eine Kameratasche erinnern. Und ich dachte: So eine habe ich doch auch noch! Auf dem Dachboden habe ich sie dann auch sorgfältig in einem Schuhkarton verpackt gefunden. Ich war so froh, dass ich sie aufbewahrt hatte!!! Ich habe mir die Tasche 1993 (!) gekauft und bei meiner standesamtlichen Hochzeit getragen. Sie war auch damals schon ein ausgefallenes Modell (deshalb habe ich sie ja auch gewollt) und ist es wohl heute immer noch.

Ich trage zu der Tasche einen Pulli mit Trompetenärmeln (Mango) und einen Midirock aus einen Tweedstoff. Die passenden Vintage-Booties hatte ich auch noch im Schrank. Ja, es ist schon von Vorteil, wenn man einen begehbaren Kleiderschrank mit viel Stauraum hat! Da kann man dem ein oder anderen Vintage-Schätzchen Asyl gewähren, bis man es wieder zu neuem Leben erweckt. Wie findet ihr meinen Vintagelook?

The other day I saw some interesting bags in a fashion magazine, that reminded me of camera bags. And I thought: I´ve still got one like these; too! I found it in the attic, carefully wrapped in a shoe box. Guess how happy I was having stored it!!! I bought this bag in 1993 (!) for my civil wedding. Even then it was a very special item (that´s why I wanted it) and it still is, I think.

I´m wearing a light sweater with bell-sleeves (Mango) and a midi-skirt of tweed with the bag. I also had the matching vintage booties in my closet. It really is an advantage to own a walk-in-closet with a bit of capacity! There you can give asylum to one or the other vintage darling until it is brought back to life again. How do you like my vintage look?
