Cutouts – Reni´s Odds and Sods

Hallo meine Lieben,

wer hätte gedacht, dass der Sommer sich selbst im September noch nicht verabschieden möchte? Nun, ich habe nichts dagegen, denn so kann ich dieses hübsche Top, dessen Blütenmuster an ein Hawaii-Hemd erinnert, noch tragen, ohne mir eine Erkältung zu holen. Farblich passt es doch perfekt in den Herbst, findet ihr nicht? Außerdem passt es auch ganz hervorragend zu meiner Culotte mit Paperbag-Bund. Es hat Cut-Outs an den Schultern (cold shoulder) und Trompetenärmel. Mit der Basttasche und den Mokassins kommt noch einmal richtiges Sommerfeeling auf. Weiter so, Herbst!

who would have thought that the summer still doesn´t want to say goodbye in September? But I don´t mind that, because I can still wear this lovely top without catching a cold. Its floral print reminds me of a Hawaii shirt, and the colours are perfect for autumn, aren´t they? And it goes perfectly with my culottes with their paper bag waist. The top has cut outs at the shoulders (cold shoulder) and trumpet sleeves. With this raffia bag and the mokassins the summer feeling comes back again. Keep on like this, autumn!

Schulter-Cutouts sind ja zur Zeit ein großes Thema in der S/S-Mode. Ich habe in meinem Schrank diese Bluse gefunden, die mir nicht mehr so recht gefiel. Sie hatte nämlich unten ein Gummizugbündchen und war daher nicht mehr auf dem aktuellen Stand. Andere Details wie die Schulter-Cutouts und die Ballonärmel sind jedoch durchaus modisch sehr angesagt. Also was lag näher, als das gute Stück einem Upcycling zu unterziehen: Bündchen abgetrennt, Gummizüge entfernt, Bündchen angepasst und wieder angenäht. So kann sie sich doch wieder sehen lassen, oder?

Ich trage die Bluse hier mit einer orangen Hose, braunen Mules (die ja auch gerade wieder ein Revival erleben) und der Clutch aus Cádiz, vor der ich euch schon in meinem Reisebericht 20 TAGE UNTERWEGS I vorgeschwärmt habe.

(Stelle fest, dass das Outfit perfekt zu meiner Holzwand passt!)

Cutouts on the shoulder are very up to date in the S/S season. I found this blouse in my wardrobe but I didn´t like it any more because it had an elastic waist-band, you know. On the other hand it has other details, like the shoulder-cutouts and the wide sleeves, that are quite modern recently. So it comes as no surprise that this good old blouse had to suffer from an upcycling treatment: Sleeve-band was taken off, elastic stuff was removed, sleeve-band was adapted and sewed on again. So it turned into something to be proud of, don´t you think so?

I´m wearing the blouse with orange pants, brown mules (which are enjoying a revival, too) and my clutch from Cádiz, about which I went into raptures in my travel report 20 TAGE UNTERWEGS I already.
