ich wäre nie auf die Idee gekommen, Streifen mit Blumenmuster zu kombinieren, wenn Salazar von 14 Shades of Grey für die aktuell SIA-Challenge nicht dieses Gemälde ausgewählt hätte:

Die Streifen auf dem Kleid der Mutter und die Blumen auf dem Teppich, dem Wasserkrug, der Tapete umd dem Schrank oder der Kommode haben mich ermutigt die ungewöhnliche Kombination zu probieren.

Hier ist mein SIA-Beitrag:

The stripes on the mother´s dress and the floral patterns on the carpet, the water jar, the wallpaper and the cupboard or dresser encouraged me to try the unusual combination.

Ich habe meine blau-weiß gestreifte Leinenhose mit einem Hawaiihemd im Kimonostil kombiniert, das die Farben des Kleides im Gemälde aufgreift. Ich bin überrascht, wie gut die beiden Muster harmonieren. Daher konnte ich mir nicht verkneifen, zwei weitere Streifen mit Blumen-Looks zu wagen. Hier sind sie:

I combined my blue and white striped linen trousers with a Hawaii shirt in Kimono style, which picks up the colours of the dress in the painting. I am surprised how well the two patterns go together. That´s why I couldn´t resist to try two more stripes and floral looks: Here they are:

BLUMENKLEID BLAU UND GRÜN / FLORAL DRESS BLUE AND GREEN

Hallo ihr Lieben,

Blumenkleider sind schon seit Jahren fester Bestandteil der Sommermode, und jedes Jahr findet man neue Varianten. Obwohl ich bereits einige besitze, konnte ich nicht widerstehen, als ich dieses hier sah, denn Schnitt und Farbe haben mich sehr angezogen. Es ist midilang und hat lange Ärmel mit Manschetten, einen Kragen und ist bis zur Taille geknöpft. Das weite Rockteil hat zusätzlich unten einen Volant. Das Kleid besteht aus Viskose und vermittelt somit ein angenehmes Tragegefühl, was mir sehr wichtig ist. Ich trage am liebsten Naturmaterialien oder zumindest einen Mix mit Naturmaterialien.

In meiner Jugend war es verpönt, Blau und Grün gleichzeitig zu tragen. Inzwischen ist nichts mehr unmöglich, da wird sogar Rot mit Pink oder Violett mit Orange kombiniert. Jedenfalls sieht man an meinem Blumenkleid, wie gut Blau mit Grün harmonieren. Zusammen mit Beige, Weiß und ein wenig Schwarz ergibt sich ein harmonischer Farbmix, an dem keine Modepolizei der Welt etwas auszusetzen haben könnte!

Floral dresses have been a fixed component of summer fashion for years already, and every year new variations are found. Although I already own some of them, I couldn´t resist, when I saw this one, because its cut and print attracted me a lot. It has midi length and long sleeves with cuffs, a collar, and its buttoned down to the waist. The wide skirt has an additional ruffle. The dress is made of Viscose and it´s very comfy to wear. This is very important to me. I prefer wearing natural materials or at least a mix with natural materials.

When I was young it was a no-go to wear green and blue together. Meanwhile everything is possible, even red is combined with pink or violet with orange. In any case my floral dress is the best prove how beautifully blue and green go together. In further combination with beige, white and a bit of black such a harmonic mix of colours was created, no fashion police in the world could complain about!

INS NETZ GEGANGEN / CAUGHT IN THE NET

Hallo ihr Lieben,

heute stehen die Zeichen auf Blau und Türkis. Dieses Kleid ist ideal für warme Sommertage. Das liegt nicht nur am leichten Stoff, ein Viskosekrepp. Nein, die kleinen Volants an den Ärmeln und dem Rockteil und die süßen Tasseln am Ausschnitt und in der Taille rufen ebenfalls Sommer. Das Blautürkis des kleinen Blumenmusters wiederholt sich im Einkaufsnetz, einem zur Zeit total angesagten Accessoire. Meine blauen Wildleder-Loafer und die silberne Kette mit türkisen Steinen passen ideal zu diesem Sommerlook! Gefällt er euch auch?

today it´s all about blue and turquoise. This dress is perfect for hot summer days. That´s not just because of the light fabric, a viscous crepe. No, it´s also the little ruffles on the sleeves and on the skirt part and the sweet tassels at the neck line and the waist that call summer. The blue turquoise of the little flower pattern is repeating in the shopping net, a very up to date accessory. My blue suede loafers and the silver necklace with turquoise stones match perfectly with this summer look. Do you like it too?

TEDDYBÄR UND BLUMEN / TEDDY BEAR AND FLOWERS

Hallo ihr Lieben,

wusstet ihr, dass eine der neuen Pantone-Trendfarben für 2018 ARCADIA, eine Mischung aus Blau und Grün, ist? Diese Farbe steht allen Frauen, egal welche Haarfarbe sie haben. Sie macht gute Laune und bringt Farbe in den Alltag.

Mein heutiger Look ist ein weiteres Beispiel für Stilbruch, über den ich in meinem letzten Beitrag ausführlich berichtet habe. Das florale Maxikleid wird durch entsprechendes Styling mit einem Teddymantel und schwarzen Combat-Boots wintertauglich gemacht. Die Farbe Arcadia des Teddymantels wiederholt sich im Blütenmuster des Kleides. Wenn es noch kälter ist, trage ich eine blickdichte schwarze Strumpfhose darunter.

Der Teddymantel ist übrigens ein Vintage-Schätzchen aus meinem Kleiderschrank. Ich war ein paarmal drauf und dran, ihn zu entsorgen. Nun bin ich froh, es nicht getan zu haben. Sein Oversize-Schnitt ist wieder total angesagt und nun sogar auch die Farbe! Eigentlich wollte ich den Teddytrend nicht mitmachen, weil ich befürchtet habe, er sei zu kurzlebig. Aber nun…..

did you know, that one of the new Pantone-Trend-colours for 2018 is ARCADIA, a mixture of blue and green? This colour suits every woman, no matter what the colour of their hair is. It makes good mood and brings colour into everyday life.

My look of today is another example for incongruity of style, about which I have reported in my last post. The floral maxi-dress becomes winterized by appropriate styling with a teddy coat and black combat boots. The teddy coat´s colour Arcadia is repeated in the flower pattern of the dress. If it´s even colder, I wear opaque black tights underneath.

Btw, the teddy coat is one of the vintage darlings from my closet. I was about to give it away once or twice. Now I´m happy, I didn´t. The oversize cut is very up to date again these days and now even the colour is! Actually I wanted to ignore the teddy trend because I was afraid it´s too short lived. But now…..

KIMONO LOOK

Jetzt hat mich schließlich auch das Kimono-Fieber erfasst, wie so manche Fashionista auf der ganzen Welt. Und zwar in Form dieses hübschen Stücks in schwarz mit bunten Blüten darauf (TK Maxx). Besonders gut gefallen mir die weißen Biesen. Mit einem solchen Kimono kann man einen schlichten Look total aufpeppen und sogar partytauglich machen.

Ich trage ihn hier mit einem passenden mintfarbenen Top, einer schwarzen Zigarettenhose und meinen Camper-Clogs.

Finally I´m also infected by the Kimono fever like many a fashionista all around the globe. In fact in the form of this pretty black piece with muticoloured blossoms on it (TK Maxx). I´m particularly fond of the white pin-tucks. You can jazz up a simple outfit with a Kimono like this and make it even party fit.

I´m wearing it with a matching mint top, black cigarette pants and my Camper-clogs.

MAXI-DRESS: GARTENPARTY ODER STADT / GARDEN PARTY OR TOWN

Endlich ist es wieder so weit, die Zeit der Gartenpartys beginnt!!! Ich liebe diese Zeit, wo der Frühling in den Sommer übergeht. Endlich kann man wieder draußen sitzen und kosmische Energie tanken (so nenne ich das immer). Endlich kann man wieder grillen (bevorzugt Lammkotteletts, dazu griechischer Salat) und sich an den vielen verschiedenen Blüten und dem Gezwitscher der Vögel erfreuen. Ich liebe es, wenn in der Abenddämmerung die Amseln singen und man den Tag bei einem Hugo ausklingen lässt.

In unserem Kalender stehen mehrere Einladungen. Mit meinem langärmeligen Maxidress von Mango bin ich bestens für das nächste Gartenfest gerüstet, findet ihr nicht auch?

Finally time has come again for garden parties !!! I love this period of in between the seasons of spring and summer. Finally we can sit outside again and tank up cosmic energy (that´s how I always call it). Finally we can have barbecues again (with priority to lamb chops with Greek salad) and enjoy the variety of blossoms and the birds´ twittering. I love the blackbirds´ singing at the end of day when we watch the sun going down and drink a Hugo.

There are some invitations in our calendar. With a longsleeve-maxidress by Mango I´m perfectly prepared for the next garden party, don´t you think so, too?

MIDI-BLUMENKLEID / MIDI FLORAL DRESS

Blumenkleider werden wohl nie aus der Mode kommen. Auch in diesem Frühling / Sommer kann frau nicht auf sie verzichten. Ich zeige euch hier ein Midikleid mit langen Ärmeln von Hallhuber. Ich habe es ein wenig verändert, indem ich den Ausschnitt vergrößert habe. Es ist aus einem fließenden Krepp und trägt sich wie ein Hauch von Nichts. Und es ist der ideale Begleiter für meinen nächsten Urlaub.

I guess floral dresses will never come out of fashion. In this spring, too women can´t do without. Here I show you a long sleeve midi dress by Hallhuber (link above). I changed it a bit by making the neckline lower. It´s made of a flowing crepe and feels like a touch of nothing. And it´s the perfect companion for my next holiday.

Zu meinem Kleid trage ich schwarze Accessoires, denn der Stoff ist auch schwarzgrundig: schwarzer Choker, schwarze Sonnenbrille, schwarze Schnürballerinas (leider nur noch in Nude erhältlich) von Conleys und ein schwarzes Täschchen (Vintage).

I´m wearing black accessories with my dress because the fabric´s ground colour is black, too: black choker, black shades, black laced ballerinas by Conleys (link above, only in nude available I´m afraid), and a little black bag (vintage).

Wenn es etwas kühler ist, ziehe ich meine Bomberjacke von Hugo Boss (vorige Saison) über das Kleid. Das changierende Schwarz-Grün der Jacke harmoniert perfekt mit den kleinen grünen Blättern auf dem Stoff des Keides.

When it´s a bit chilly I put my bomber jacket by Hugo Boss (last season) over the dress. The iridescent black-and-green of the jacket goes perfectly with the little green leafs on the dress´s fabric.

BLUMEN UND ZWEI STREIFEN / FLOWERS AND TWO STRIPES

Blumen und Blüten erfreuen zur Zeit überall das Auge. Mir kam der Winter dieses Mal besonders lang vor. Geht euch das auch so? Umso mehr freue ich mich nun, dass es langsam wärmer wird und alles anfängt zu grünen und zu blühen. Auch die Vögel sind wieder munter und zwitschern mich jeden Morgen wach. Besonders liebe ich den Gesang der Amseln.

Ja, wen wundert es da, dass man auch bei den neuen Frühlingskollektionen das Blütenthema antrifft. So zum Beispiel. auf meiner Hose. Aber ehrlich gestanden stammt sie gar nicht aus dieser Saison, sondern begleitet mich bereits seit ein paar Jahren durch den Sommer. Ich habe sie mal bei H&M ergattert und finde sie immer noch schön, zumal sie einen hochaktuellen Seitenstreifen besitzt. Außerdem hat sie einen ungewöhnlichen Farbverlauf, wie man auf der Vergrößerung erahnen kann: Zu den Hüften hin wird sie schwarz.

Flowers and blossoms enjoy everyone´s eyes these days. This winter seemed to me longer than normal, don´t you think so, too? This is why I´m so very happy now about the weather becoming warmer and about nature´s explosion of colours and blossoms. The birds as well are blithely again and they twitter me awake every morning. I especially love the blackbird´s singing.

So it´s no surprise that you discover the flower-theme in all the new spring collections, too. Look at my pants for example. But to be honest, they are not of the new season. They´ve accompanied me through the summer of the last few years already. I once discovered them at H&M and I still like them. Not only for the trendy stripe at the legs´sides, they have also got an interesting color gradient which you can see in the close-up: It becomes black on the way up to the hips.

Eine lange Kette und schwarze Riemchen-Ballerinas runden meinen Frühlingslook ab.

A long necklace and black sling ballerinas complete my spring look.

SUMMER FEELING: PALAZZOHOSE UND TROMPETENÄRMEL / PALAZZO PANTS AND BELL SLEEVES

Heute zeige ich euch einen hübschen und total bequemen Sommerlook mit meiner schwarzen Palazzohose mit Blumenprint und einer weißen Bluse mit Trompetenärmeln. Dazu trage ich schwarze spitze Sling-Ballerinas.

In diesem Outfit kann ich auf jede Sommerpary gehen oder mich mit Freundinnen zum Kaffeetrinken treffen. Es verzeiht nämlich locker ein Stück Torte oder einen Eisbecher.

Today I show you a nice and very comfy summer look with my black palazzo pants with a floral print and a white blouse with bell-sleeves. I´m wearing black pointes sling ballerinas with it.

I can go to any summer party in this outfit or meet friends for a cup of coffee. It easily hides a piece of cake or two or an ice-cream sundae, you see.

SELF-MADE: CHECKS AND FLOWERS

Karos in Rot und Schwarz sind schon seit längerem sehr angesagt, und Blumenmuster sind ja sowieso ein Dauerbrenner. Was lag also näher, als diese beiden Trends in einem Kleid zu vereinen. Der Blumenstoff, den ich für die Raglanärmel, die Knopfleiste und die Taschenbeutel verwendet habe, ist ein Chiffon. Der Karostoff besteht aus Baumwolle und hat einen leichten Crincle-Effekt. An Ausschnitt, Saum und den Taschen habe ich rote Akzente gesetzt. Der Saum ist hinten etwas länger gearbeitet und an den Seiten abgerundet, so wie es momentan modern ist.

Checks in red and black have been quite popular for some time, and floral prints are a long runner anyway. So the idea of putting together these two trends suggested itself. The floral fabric which I used for the raglan sleeves, the button tape and the pockets is a chiffon. The checked fabric is of cotton with a bit of a crincle effect. I put red accents on the neckline, the hem and the pockets. The backside of the hem is a bit longer than the front, as it´s fashionable this season.
