Als ich diese schwarze Culotte gekauft habe, habe ich nicht damit gerechnet, wie schwierig es ist, sie so zu stylen, dass sie nicht altbacken wirkt. Mit meiner schwarzen Lederjacke, den Plateau-Sandalen und meiner Lieblingstasche ist es mir aber denke ich gelungen. Was meint ihr?

When I bought these black culottes I didn´t expect how difficult it would be to style it in a way that doesn´t appear old-fashioned. But I think I managed quite well with my black leather jacket, platforms and my favourite bag. What do you think?

CAMEL UND WEIß / CAMEL AND WHITE

Ich habe euch vor Kurzem meine Bikerjacke aus camelfarbenem Wildleder vorgestellt. Heute möchte ich damit einen anderen Look zeigen. Ich habe die Jacke diesmal mit weißen Schlagjeans kombiniert, die in diesem Frühling/Sommer ein Musthave zu sein scheinen, wenn man verschiedene Modezeitungen durchblättert. Meine sind schon einige Jährchen alt, also wieder einmal ein echtes Vintage-Schätzchen. Ich trage dazu ein weißes Shirt, camelfarbene spitze Pumps und ein passendes Täschchen. Die Ethnokette habe ich vom Amazonas mitgebracht. Sie ist aus den Kernen einer exotischen Frucht gemacht, deren Namen ich vergessen habe. Ich finde Camel und Weiß harmonieren super miteinander, findet ihr nicht auch?

Not too long ago I showed you my biker jacket of camel suede. Today I´d like to present another look with it. This time I´m wearing the jacket with white flare jeans, which seem to be a musthave this spring/summer as far as various fashion magazines suggest. Mine are a couple of years old – once again a real vintage darling. I´m wearing a white shirt, camel pointed pumps and a matching shoulder bag with it. I brought this ethno necklace from my journey to the Amazon. It´s made of the seed of a tropical fruit the name of which I´ve forgotten. I think camel and white go perfectly together, don´t you think so, too?

OOTD: All Brown

Heute habe ich mich warm verpackt, ganz in Braun. Obwohl die Sonne scheint, ist es nämlich eisig kalt. Eine Sonnenbrille braucht man aber trotzdem. Diese hier ist von Mango.

Today I´m warmly wrapped all brown. Although the sun is shining it´s frosty cold. But anyway you need sun shades. These are from Mango.

OOTD: Parkalook

Khaki ist eine Farbe, die ich sehr mag und Parkas sind ja sowieso ein Dauerbrenner. Ich habe im Sale eine graue Lederhose erstanden, die einen leichten Khaki-Stich hat. Dazu trage ich ein Karohemd und einen beigen Pulli. Passt doch gut zusammen, oder?

I really like the colour khaki and parkas are a long runner anyway. I purchased grey leather pants with a tinge of khaki in the sale. A checked shirt and a beige sweater go with it. It matches well, doesn´t it?

OOTD: Jogpants and KL Gloves

Karl Lagerfeld sagt ja, dass man die Kontrolle über sein Leben verloren hat, wenn man Jogginghosen trägt. Ob das auch für Leder-Jogpants gilt? Und wenn ja, was würde er dazu sagen, dass ich seine Handschuhe dazu trage? Die habe ich mir letzten Sommer in Berlin gekauft. Ich trage selten Handschuhe. Aber zur Zeit ist es so kalt hier, dass man welche gebrauchen kann. Vor allem, wenn sie so stylisch sind.

Karl Lagerfeld says that you have lost control of your life when you wear jogpants. I wonder if this is meant for leather jogpants, too. If yes, what would he say about me wearing his gloves with them? I bought them last summer in Berlin. I don´t wear gloves very often. But it´s so cold here these days that they are very useful. Particularly stylish ones like these.

OOTD: Fake Fur and Leather

Obwohl ich den Frühling kaum noch erwarten kann, sieht die Wetter-Realität leider ganz anders aus. Ohne warm eingepackt zu sein, kann man nicht aus dem Haus gehen. Daher habe ich meine Military-Jacke aus dem Schrank geholt. Sie hat ein warmes Futter mit Webpelzbesatz. Dazu trage ich eine braune Lederhose und eine Schluppenbluse, die dem Outfit etwas Weibliches gibt. Mit Schal und Stiefeletten dazu kann ich mich nach draußen wagen.

Although I can hardly wait for spring to come, weather reality looks different. You cant´t go outdoors without being properly wrapped. That´t why I picked my military jacket out of my closet. It has got a warm lining that´s trimmed with fake fur. I´m wearing brown leather pants and a blouse with a bow with it, that gives the outfit a female touch. With a scarf and booties in addition I can dare to go outside.

COLOGNE FASHION DAYS (CFD)

Letztes Wochenende habe ich zwei Modenschauen bei den Cologne Fashion Days gesehen. Die CFD fanden zum zweiten Mal statt. Es war auch dieses Mal wieder sehr inspirierend. Ich habe einige Ideen für künftige Nähprojekte gewonnen. Hoffentlich finde ich die Zeit, sie in die Tat umzusetzen. Das Problem ist immer, so tolle Stoffe zu finden, wie die Designer sie verwendet haben. Ich werde meine Augen offen halten. Die Mode wurde auch zum Verkauf angeboten. Habe einen coolen schwarzen Pullover erstanden vom Label `Rock it Baby´.

Last weekend I attended two runway shows at the Cologne Fashion Days which took place for the second time this year. It was very inspiring again. I got some ideas for new sewing projects and I hope I will find the time to realise them. There is always the problem of finding fabrics as beautiful as the designer used. I will keep my eyes open. The fashon items were available at the event, too and so I purchased a cool black jumper by the label `Rock it Baby´.
