BLUMEN UND ZWEI STREIFEN / FLOWERS AND TWO STRIPES

Blumen und Blüten erfreuen zur Zeit überall das Auge. Mir kam der Winter dieses Mal besonders lang vor. Geht euch das auch so? Umso mehr freue ich mich nun, dass es langsam wärmer wird und alles anfängt zu grünen und zu blühen. Auch die Vögel sind wieder munter und zwitschern mich jeden Morgen wach. Besonders liebe ich den Gesang der Amseln.

Ja, wen wundert es da, dass man auch bei den neuen Frühlingskollektionen das Blütenthema antrifft. So zum Beispiel. auf meiner Hose. Aber ehrlich gestanden stammt sie gar nicht aus dieser Saison, sondern begleitet mich bereits seit ein paar Jahren durch den Sommer. Ich habe sie mal bei H&M ergattert und finde sie immer noch schön, zumal sie einen hochaktuellen Seitenstreifen besitzt. Außerdem hat sie einen ungewöhnlichen Farbverlauf, wie man auf der Vergrößerung erahnen kann: Zu den Hüften hin wird sie schwarz.

Flowers and blossoms enjoy everyone´s eyes these days. This winter seemed to me longer than normal, don´t you think so, too? This is why I´m so very happy now about the weather becoming warmer and about nature´s explosion of colours and blossoms. The birds as well are blithely again and they twitter me awake every morning. I especially love the blackbird´s singing.

So it´s no surprise that you discover the flower-theme in all the new spring collections, too. Look at my pants for example. But to be honest, they are not of the new season. They´ve accompanied me through the summer of the last few years already. I once discovered them at H&M and I still like them. Not only for the trendy stripe at the legs´sides, they have also got an interesting color gradient which you can see in the close-up: It becomes black on the way up to the hips.

Zu meiner Flower-Power-Hose trage ich einen beigen Pulli, der hinten zwei Zipfel hat.

With my flower power pants I´m wearing a light sweater in beige, which has got two tips at the back.

Eine lange Kette und schwarze Riemchen-Ballerinas runden meinen Frühlingslook ab.

A long necklace and black sling ballerinas complete my spring look.

MEIN MULTITALENT / MY MULTI TALENT: LOOK 5

Dieses Mal präsentiere ich mein Multitalent in einem chicen Look mit sportlichem Touch.

This time I present my multi talent in a chic look with a sporty touch.

LOOK 5: Sporty chic

Ich habe den Rock mit einem blauen Sommerpulli und blauen Chuck-Wedges kombiniert. Die Wedges geben dem Outfit den sportlichen Touch. Dazu trage ich meine durchsichtige Sonnenbrille mit blauen Gläsern und eine lange Kette. So war ich vor Kurzem auf einer Gartenparty.

I combined the skirt with a blue summer sweater and blue chuck-wedges. The wedges give the outfit the sporty touch. My transparent shades with blue glasses and a long necklace go with it. I wore this outfit at a garden party the other day.

HERAUSFORDERUNG SCHWARZE CULOTTE / CHALLENGE BLACK CULOTTES

Als ich diese schwarze Culotte gekauft habe, habe ich nicht damit gerechnet, wie schwierig es ist, sie so zu stylen, dass sie nicht altbacken wirkt. Mit meiner schwarzen Lederjacke, den Plateau-Sandalen und meiner Lieblingstasche ist es mir aber denke ich gelungen. Was meint ihr?

When I bought these black culottes I didn´t expect how difficult it would be to style it in a way that doesn´t appear old-fashioned. But I think I managed quite well with my black leather jacket, platforms and my favourite bag. What do you think?

MEIN MULTITALENT / MY MULTI TALENT: LOOK 4

Meinen silbernen Metallic-Plisseerock kennt ihr ja schon aus meinem Post: Rock it Baby: Plissee und Pailetten. Dort habe ich bereits 3 verschiedene Looks mit diesem Schätzchen gezeigt:

Nun habe ich festgestellt, dass er noch viel mehr kann, ja, er ist ein regelrechtes Multitalent! Ich denke, er wird mich durch den ganzen Sommer begleiten.

In den folgenden Wochen werde ich daher immer wieder mal einen Look mit meinem Allrounder präsentieren, um zu zeigen, wie wandlungsfähig er daher kommen kann. Los geht´s:

Now I realized that it can do much more than that, actually it´s some kind of a multitalent! I´m sure it will guide me through the entire summer.

That´s why I will regularly post a look with my allrounder in the following weeks to prove how versatile it can come along. Here we go:

LOOK 4: Sporty look

Ich trage den Rock hier mit einem weißen Shirt, einer geblümten Bomberjacke, schwarzen Chucks und einem Rucksack.

VINTAGE MAXIKLEID UND LIEBLINGSTASCHE / VINTAGE MAXI DRESS AND FAVOURITE BAG

Oft bin ich erstaunt, wie stylisch manche Vintage-Teile aussehen, wenn man sie mit modernen Accessoires kombiniert. So auch dieser Strick-Zweiteiler aus den frühen 90ern.

Mit Plateau-Sandalen, durchsichtiger Sonnenbrille mit blauen Gläsern und vor allem mit meiner derzeitigen Lieblingstasche wird ein Look daraus, der mir super gefällt!

Frequently I´m quite surprised how stylish some vintage items come along, when they are matched with modern accessories. That´s also the case with this two-piece knitted maxi dress of the early 90s.

Together with my platform sandals, transparent shades with blue glasses and above all with my current favourite bag it turns into a look I very much appreciate.

ROCK IT BABY: PLISSEE UND PAILETTEN / PLEATS AND SEQUINS

Plisseeröcke in Metallic-Optic lassen sich vielfältig kombinieren. Am besten gefällt mir die rockige Variante mit Nirvana-Bandshirt. Realistischer sind zur Zeit jedoch die Looks entweder mit dem schwarzen Pailetten-Sweatshirt oder mit dem beigem Pulli. Auf jeden Fall trage ich meine neuen Pailetten-Espadrilles.

Ich hätte die Looks so gerne draußen geshootet, aber das Wetter …

Pleated metallic skirts can be combined in various ways. I prefer it the rocky way with the Nirvana bandshirt. But the looks either with the black sweat-shirt with sequins or with the beige pullover are more realistic at the moment. In any case I´m wearing my new espadrilles with sequins.

I would have liked to shoot the looks outdoors, but the weather …

COLD SHOULDER-UPCYCLING + CÁDIZ CLUTCH

Schulter-Cutouts sind ja zur Zeit ein großes Thema in der S/S-Mode. Ich habe in meinem Schrank diese Bluse gefunden, die mir nicht mehr so recht gefiel. Sie hatte nämlich unten ein Gummizugbündchen und war daher nicht mehr auf dem aktuellen Stand. Andere Details wie die Schulter-Cutouts und die Ballonärmel sind jedoch durchaus modisch sehr angesagt. Also was lag näher, als das gute Stück einem Upcycling zu unterziehen: Bündchen abgetrennt, Gummizüge entfernt, Bündchen angepasst und wieder angenäht. So kann sie sich doch wieder sehen lassen, oder?

Ich trage die Bluse hier mit einer orangen Hose, braunen Mules (die ja auch gerade wieder ein Revival erleben) und der Clutch aus Cádiz, vor der ich euch schon in meinem Reisebericht 20 TAGE UNTERWEGS I vorgeschwärmt habe.

(Stelle fest, dass das Outfit perfekt zu meiner Holzwand passt!)

Cutouts on the shoulder are very up to date in the S/S season. I found this blouse in my wardrobe but I didn´t like it any more because it had an elastic waist-band, you know. On the other hand it has other details, like the shoulder-cutouts and the wide sleeves, that are quite modern recently. So it comes as no surprise that this good old blouse had to suffer from an upcycling treatment: Sleeve-band was taken off, elastic stuff was removed, sleeve-band was adapted and sewed on again. So it turned into something to be proud of, don´t you think so?

I´m wearing the blouse with orange pants, brown mules (which are enjoying a revival, too) and my clutch from Cádiz, about which I went into raptures in my travel report 20 TAGE UNTERWEGS I already.

(Just realizing that my outfit goes perfectly together with the wood behind me.)

CULOTTE MIT STREIFEN / STRIPED CULOTTES (SELF-MADE)

Streifen – eine unendliche Geschichte. Hier präsentiere ich die grau-weiße Variante in Form meiner selbst genähten Culotte. Die habe ich zwar vor längerer Zeit schon einmal gezeigt. Aber jetzt habe ich sie völlig anders gestylt mit grauem Shirt und einer weißen Leinenweste. Dazu trage ich silberne Pantoletten, ein weißes Täschchen und Ethnoschmuck. Das ist ein Frühlingslook ganz nach meinem Geschmack! Gefällt er euch auch?

Stripes – a never ending story. This time I present a grey and white example in the shape of my self-made culottes. In fact I showed them some time ago already but this time I styled them completely different with a grey Tee and a white linnen vest. I´m wearing silver slip-ons, a white bag and Ethnic jewellery with it. I really fancy this spring look! Do you like it, too?

DAS WAR IN DER MANGO-TÜTE / THAT WAS INSIDE THE MANGO BAG

Wer meinen Reisebericht 20 TAGE UNTERWEGS II gelesen hat, erinnert sich vielleicht, dass ich in Barcelona shoppen war und ein Mango-Tütchen über die Rambla getragen habe.

Die Modekette Mango kommt ja aus Spanien und ich konnte es mir – trotz Gepäckbeschränkung auf 20 kg und einem Koffer am Limit – nicht verkneifen, mal dort reinzuschauen. Der Laden war riesig und das Angebot natürlich auch. Deshalb ist es wohl nicht verwunderlich, dass ich auch schnell fündig wurde. Angebrochenes Duschgel, Sonnenschutzmittel usw. mussten dafür auf dem Schiff zurückbleiben.

Ihr wollt bestimmt wissen, was in der Tüte war. Voilá: Es war diese hübsche dunkelblaue Longbluse mit weißen Streifen. Sie ist so lang, dass man sie im Sommer als Kleid tragen kann.

Ich trage sie aber vorerst mit weißer Zigarettenhose.

Die Wedges habe ich mal bei Esprit erstanden, die Tasche bei Galeria Kaufhof. Die Hose stammt von P&C.

Those of you who read my travel report 20 TAGE UNTERWEGS II may probably remember that I went shopping in Barcelona and that I carried a Mango bag down the Rambla. Mango is a Spanish brand and I couldn´t resist – in spite of luggage restriction and a suitcase at its limit – to pop in. The store was of enormous dimensions and so was the range of offered clothes. So it´s not a big surprise that I instantly made a strike. Opened shower gel, sun protect etc. had to be left on the ship instead.

I bet you want to know what was inside the bag. Voilá: It was this pretty long blouse of a dark blue with white stripes (look above).

It´s long enough to function as a dress in summer. But I prefer wearing it with white cigarette pants for the moment. I purchased the Wedges at Esprit some time ago and the bag at Galeria Kaufhof. The pants are P&C.

SELF-MADE: CHECKS AND FLOWERS

Karos in Rot und Schwarz sind schon seit längerem sehr angesagt, und Blumenmuster sind ja sowieso ein Dauerbrenner. Was lag also näher, als diese beiden Trends in einem Kleid zu vereinen. Der Blumenstoff, den ich für die Raglanärmel, die Knopfleiste und die Taschenbeutel verwendet habe, ist ein Chiffon. Der Karostoff besteht aus Baumwolle und hat einen leichten Crincle-Effekt. An Ausschnitt, Saum und den Taschen habe ich rote Akzente gesetzt. Der Saum ist hinten etwas länger gearbeitet und an den Seiten abgerundet, so wie es momentan modern ist.

Checks in red and black have been quite popular for some time, and floral prints are a long runner anyway. So the idea of putting together these two trends suggested itself. The floral fabric which I used for the raglan sleeves, the button tape and the pockets is a chiffon. The checked fabric is of cotton with a bit of a crincle effect. I put red accents on the neckline, the hem and the pockets. The backside of the hem is a bit longer than the front, as it´s fashionable this season.
