ich wäre nie auf die Idee gekommen, Streifen mit Blumenmuster zu kombinieren, wenn Salazar von 14 Shades of Grey für die aktuell SIA-Challenge nicht dieses Gemälde ausgewählt hätte:

Die Streifen auf dem Kleid der Mutter und die Blumen auf dem Teppich, dem Wasserkrug, der Tapete umd dem Schrank oder der Kommode haben mich ermutigt die ungewöhnliche Kombination zu probieren.

Hier ist mein SIA-Beitrag:

The stripes on the mother´s dress and the floral patterns on the carpet, the water jar, the wallpaper and the cupboard or dresser encouraged me to try the unusual combination.

This is my SIA share:

Ich habe meine blau-weiß gestreifte Leinenhose mit einem Hawaiihemd im Kimonostil kombiniert, das die Farben des Kleides im Gemälde aufgreift. Ich bin überrascht, wie gut die beiden Muster harmonieren. Daher konnte ich mir nicht verkneifen, zwei weitere Streifen mit Blumen-Looks zu wagen. Hier sind sie:

I combined my blue and white striped linen trousers with a Hawaii shirt in Kimono style, which picks up the colours of the dress in the painting. I am surprised how well the two patterns go together. That´s why I couldn´t resist to try two more stripes and floral looks: Here they are:

SPÄTER SOMMERGRUß IM BEIGEN STREIFENKEID / LATE SUMMER GREETING IN A BEIGE STRIPED DRESS

Hallo ihr Lieben,

als ich diese Fotos gemacht habe war es über 35 Grad heiß. Ich liebe ja Temperaturen um die 30 Grad, aber 35+ ist mir nun doch zu viel! Und wenn man sich mein Gesicht anschaut, sieht man mir das auch an. Ich sehe etwas gequält aus, finde ich. Leider geht der scheinbar endlose Sommer jetzt wohl doch zu Ende. Aber heute ist es noch einmal herrlich warm. Daher will ich euch schnell noch dieses luftige Kleidchen vorstellen. Es trägt sich wie ein Hauch von Nichts und ist daher ideal für heiße Sommertage. Demnächst werde ich es wohl im Schrank verstauen, bis es Anfang des Jahres wieder zum Einsatz kommt. Dann fahre ich nämlich wieder in die Sonne. Wohin, verrate ich euch noch nicht, hihi! Es wird aber einen Reisebeitrag dazu geben, versprochen!

Hi lovelies,

when I took these photos it was more than 35°C hot. I actually love temperatures of about 30 degrees, but 35+ was a bit too much for me! And when you look into my face you can see my forced smile, I guess. I´m afraid, this endless summer finally will come to its end now. But today it´s a lovely warm day again. That´s why I quickly want to present you this airy dress. It wears like a breath of nothing and thus it is perfect for hot summer days. Soon I will store it in my closet until early next year. Then I´ll take a trip into sunny areas. I won´t tell you the exact destination yet, hihi! But there will be a travel post, I promise!

IN THE NAVY …

Als vor ein paar Tagen tatsächlich mal die Sonne schien, habe ich schnell dieses Outfit fotografiert. Es sieht aus, wie von der Seefahrt inspiriert. Das liegt nicht nur an der Schiffermütze, sondern auch an den Streifen auf dem Shirt und auf der Jacke. Auch mein hellgrauer Plisseerock sieht ja irgendwie gestreift aus. Meine schwarzen Schnürboots dürfen natürlich auch diesmal nicht fehlen! Sie verleihen dem Look den gewissen Bruch, ohne den er mir zu klassisch wirken würde.

Ich habe extra keinen Mantel drüber gezogen, damit man das Outfit besser sehen kann. Aber mein grauer Karomantel passt prima dazu!

When the sun actually came out some days ago, I hurried outside to shoot this outfit. It seems inspired by the Navy, doesn´t it? That´s not only because of the sailor´s cap, but because of the stripes on the shirt and the blazer, too. My light-grey pleated skirt looks kind of striped as well, I guess. Of course my black laced boots should not be missing this time either! They give the look this certain edgy touch, without which it would come along too classic.

I purposely renounced a coat, so you can see the outfit better. But my grey checked coat goes perfectly with it!

TREND-CLASH: 4 TRENDS IN 1 LOOK

Eigentlich wollte ich nur ein Shooting mit meiner Gürteltasche machen, die in den Tiefen meines Schrankes geschlummert hatte. Und da solche Taschen zur Zeit ein Comeback erleben und man sie in allen Zeitschriften sieht, erinnerte ich mich an mein Schätzchen. Schnell hatte ich dann auch ein Outfit gefunden, das die Tasche ins rechte Licht rücken sollte, und zwar:

Mein Streifenkleid mit meinen schwarzen Schnürboots und dazu die schwarze Jacke mit den Trompetenärmeln, die ich in diesem Sommer in Bremen gefunden hatte. Die Boots und die Gürteltasche bewirken den erwünschten Stilbruch, um den Look lässiger und nicht zu aufgestylt daherkommen zu lassen. Als ich das Ergebnis sah, fiel mir auf, dass in diesem Look 4 aktuelle Trends vereint sind:

Streifenkleider
Trompetenärmel
Schnürboots
Gürteltaschen

Yeah, wenn das kein Trend-Clash ist!

Actually I only wanted to take photos of my waistbag, which I had stored in the depth of my closet. And because those bags experience a comeback at the moment, this darling came back into my mind. It wasn´t difficult to find the right outfit to present the bag in the right light, namely:

My striped dress with my black laced boots and the black jacket with trumpet sleeves, which I found in Bremen this summer. The boots and the waistbag cause a desired break, that helps the look appear more casual. and not too overdone. When I saw the pictures I realized that there were 4 contemporary trends united in the look:

Yeah, if that is no trend-clash!

IT´S A WRAP: BLAUE WICKELBLUSE / BLUE WRAPPED BLOUSE

Zur Zeit zeigt sich der Herbst von seiner besten Seite und beschert uns warme Tage, an denen man sich in den Sommer zurück versetzt fühlt. An solchen Tagen können die Pullover getrost im Schrank bleiben und man kann sich nochmal luftiger gekleidet ins Freie begeben. Zum Beispiel in dem Look, den ich euch hier zeige. Natürlich ziehe ich draußen eine passende Jacke oder einen Trenchcoat über. Darauf habe ich hier beim Shooting aber verzichtet, sonst hätte man ja die Bluse nicht sehen können …

Zu der hübschen blau-gestreiften Wickelbluse mit Glockenärmeln (von H&M) trage ich einen blauen Plisseerock. Dazu passen meine weißen KS-Flats, die ihr ja schon von meinem vorigen Beitrag kennt, und ein weißes Täschchen. Eine Uhr mit weißem Armband macht den Look komplett. So hole ich mir ein Stückchen vom Sommer zurück, den ich schmerzlich vermisse!

At the moment autumn shows its best side and presents us lovely days, that seem to take us back into summer. On days like these sweaters may stay in the closet and you can go outside in lighter clothes. For example in the look I’m showing you here. Of course I put over a matching jacket or a trench outdoors. I did without in this shooting, otherwise you wouldn´t have seen the blouse …

I´m wearing a blue pleated skirt with this lovely blouse with its blue and white stripes and its bell sleeves (by H&M). My white KS-flats, which you already know from my last post, go perfectly with it , and so does a little white bag. A watch with a white strap completes this look. Dressed like this I´m retrieving a bit of summer, which I´m missing badly!

WILLKOMMEN IN MEINEM SCHRANK: WEISSE BOMBERJACKE / WELCOME TO MY CLOSET: WHITE BOMBER JACKET

Als ich kürzlich in Schwerin war, habe ich diese weiße Bomberjacke mit blauen und silbernen Details entdeckt. Sie ist von Gustav, einem dänischen Label. Mittlerweile ist sie in meinen Schrank eingezogen. Sie ist aber auch wirklich besonders: Sie hat nicht nur kurze Ärmel, sondern sie ist aus Seide und fühlt sich wunderbar weich an.

When I was in Schwerin lately, I discovered this white bomber jacket with blue and silver details. It´s from Gustav, a Danish brand. Meanwhile it has moved into my closet. And it really is something special: Not only has it got short sleeves, but it is made of silk and feels wonderfully soft.

Meine blau-weiße Streifenjeans passt perfekt zu meiner neuen Errungenschaft. Dazu trage ich hier außerdem meine weißen Converse-Chucks und ein blaues Shirt. Das ist ein richtiger Wohlfühl-Look!

GUT VERSCHNÜRT / WELL LACED-UP

Schnürungen sind zur Zeit ein großes Thema. Man sieht sie an sämtlichen Kleidungsstücken. Ich habe sie an dieser Bluse entdeckt, deren lange Form mir besonders gut gefiel. Sie hat diagonale Streifen, die man auch nicht alle Tage sieht. Mit der weißen Röhrenjeans und den blauen Accessoirs ist ein schöner Sommerlook entstanden.

Lace-ups are a big thing at the moment. You can see them on every garment. I discovered them on this blouse, which I liked because of its longer cut. It has got diagonal stripes that are not seen every day. Together with a pair of white skinny jeans and blue accessories a nice summer look was completed.

KAPUZE ZUM ANZUG (II) / HOODIE AND SUIT (II)

Dieser Anzug ist eigentlich gar keiner. Aber die rote Jacke passt perfekt zu den roten Streifen meiner Trackpants. Die Idee, einen Hoodie zum Anzug zu tragen, habe ich ja schon hier in einem früheren Beitrag beschrieben. Ich mag diesen vermeintlichen Widerspruch zwischen chic und sportlich sehr. Er gibt dem Outfit eine gewisse Spannung und macht es so interessant. Findet ihr nicht auch?

Actually this suit isn´t a real one. But the red jacket goes perfectly with the red stripes of my trackpants. I´ve already talked about the idea of wearing a hoodie with a suit here. I like this apparent contradiction between chic and sporty very much. It gives the outfit a certain tension which makes it interesting. Don´t you think so, too?

KAPUZE ZUM ANZUG / HOODIE AND SUIT

Natürlich könnte man meinen Nadelstreifenanzug (ihr kennt dessen Hose bereits aus meinem Beitrag DREIFACHSTREIFEN / TRIPLE STRIPES) vielfach kombinieren, z.B. mit einer weißen Schluppenbluse:

Of course I could match my pin-striped suit (you know the pants of it already from my post DREIFACHSTREIFEN / TRIPLE STRIPES) in many different ways, e.g with a white bow-blouse:

Aber ich wollte dem Look eine ´edgy` Note geben. Daher hatte ich die Idee, den Anzug mit einem Hoodie und weißen Sneakers zu tragen. Das erscheint zunächst einmal ungewohnt: Kapuze zum Anzug? Aber warum nicht? Der Anzug ist sportlich-chic und mit dem Hoodie wird die sportliche Seite unterstrichen. Ich finde die Kombination funktioniert super. Außerdem mag ich solche Brüche wie Sneakers zur Schluppenbluse oder Spitzenoberteil zur Fetzenjeans sehr. Sie können dem Look eine völlig andere Richtung geben. Also warum nicht mal Kapuze zum Anzug?!

But I wanted to give the look an edgy attitude. That´s why I had the idea of wearing the suit with a hoodie and white sneakers. That seems to be unusual at first sight: Hoodie with a suit? But why not? The suit´s style is sporty-chic and the hoodie emphasizes the sporty aspect. I think this combo works perfectly, doesn´t it? And – I love those breaks such as sneakers with a bow-blouse or lace with ripped jeans very much. They can give a look a completely different direction. So why not a hoodie with a suit?!

DREIFACHSTREIFEN / TRIPLE STRIPES

Diese Anzughose im Joggingstil gefiel mir so gut, dass ich sie unbedingt haben musste. Und wisst ihr was? Ich habe auch gleich noch die passende Jacke dazu gekauft. Aber dazu mehr in einem anderen Beitrag. Hier habe ich ein Outfit zusammengestellt, das aus lauter Streifen besteht. Streifen auf der Hose, auf dem Pulli (vor ca. 3-4 Jahren bei H&M gekauft) und auf der Tasche. Dazu trage ich (wenn es das Wetter erlaubt) meine Schlappen mit Kunstfellbesatz und eine runde, transparente Sonnenbrille mit blau schimmernden Gläsern.Weiße Sneakers sehen aber auch gut dazu aus.

I liked these suit trousers in jogging style so much that I couldn´t help buing them. And let me tell you: I bought the matching jacket as well! But more about that in a later post. Here I composed an outfit that completely consists of stripes. Stripes on the pants, on the sweater (bought about 3 or 4 years at H&M) and on the bag. I´m wearing (as far as the weather allows) my fake fur-trim slippers and round transparent shades that have a blue shimmer with it. White sneakers are fine with it as well.
