NEW STYLE IMITATING ART CHALLENGE (SIA)

Die Idee von Style Imitating Art ist, sich von einem ausgewählten Kunstwerk inspirieren zu lassen, um einen Look zu kreieren. Alle 14 Tage montags stellt eine der drei Initiatorinnen der Challenge ein Kunstwerk auf ihrem Blog und auf Instagram vor. Am darauffolgenden Montag zeigen die Drei dort ihre Looks. Die Teilnehmer der Challenge schicken bis spätestens Dienstag ihre Ideen an die jeweilige Initiatorin, die dann am Mittwoch alle Ergebnisse in ihrem Blog und teilw. auch auf Instagram veröffentlicht. Die Style Imitating Art Challenge wurde ins Leben gerufen von:

The idea of Style Imitating Art is to get inspired by a selected work of art to create a look. Every second Monday one of the three founders of the challenge presents a work of art on her blog and on Instagram. The following Monday the three founders present their art inspired looks. The participants of the challenge send their looks to the current founder by Tuesday. All results are published on her blog and Instagram on Wednesday. Und hier ist meine Interpretation: / And this is my interpretation:

Gold und Perlen sollten die Basis für meinen Look sein. Ich wählte diesen Ballonrock und die Seidenbluse. Beides habe ich vor einigen Jahren mal für einen festlichen Anlass genäht. Als Accessoires trage ich eine goldene dreireihige Statement-Perlenkette und anderen Goldschmuck. Die Slingpumps und das Handtäschchen sind ebenfalls goldfarben.

Gold and pearls should be the basis for my look. I chose this balloon skirt and the silk blouse. Both I sewed some years ago for a festive occasion. As accessory I wear a gold three row statement pearl necklace and other gold jewelry. The sling pumps and the little handbag are also gold coloured.

STYLE IMITATING ART CHALLENGE (SIA) WITH ELSA SCHIAPARELLI

Hallo ihr Lieben,

die aktuelle Style Imitating Art Challenge wird von Salazar (14 Shades of Grey) präsentiert.

Salazar wählte als das allererste Design von Elsa Schiaparelli als Inspiration einen Look zu kreieren. Es handelt sich um einen schwarzen Pullover mit einer eingestrickten weißen Schluppe, was einen „Trompe l’oeil“-Effekt (optische Täuschung) hervorruft. Der Pullover, der 1927 entworfen wurde, sieht so modern aus, dass ich ihn am liebsten für mich nachstricken würde.

Hi my dears,

the latest Style Imitating Art challenge is presented by Salazar (14 Shades of Grey).

Salazar chose the very first design of Elsa Schiaparelli as inspiration to create a look. It’s a black sweater with an inlay knitted white bow, which causes an „Trompe l’oeil“-effect (optical illusion). The sweater was designed in1927, but it looks so modern, that I would really like to re-knit it for me.

Meine Interpretation / My interpretation

Mich haben die (Nicht-)Farben Schwarz und Weiß und natürlich auch die eingestrickte Schluppe inspiriert. Mein Look besteht aus einem schwarzen Slipdress mit einer Schluppe am Ausschnitt. Unter dem Kleid trage ich ein weißes T-Shirt. Um den Look zu vervollständigen habe ich schwarze Schlappen, eine schwarze Cateye-Sonnenbrille und eine schwarze Kette mit Herzanhängern ergänzt.

I was inspired by the (non-)colours black and white and of course by the inlay knitted bow. My look consists of a black slip dress with a bow at the neckline. I’m wearing a white t-shirt with the dress. I completed the look with black slides, black sunglasses and a black necklace with chain pendants in heart shape.

Hallo ihr Lieben,

ich habe mal wieder an der Style Imitating Art Challenge teilgenommen. Wenn ihr mehr über diese Challenge wissen möchtet, oder selbst teilnehmen wollt, könnt ihr bei einer der drei Initiatorinnen nachlesen, wie es geht und was ihr machen müsst.

Bei diesem Durchgang ist Terri die Veranstalterin. Sie inspiriert uns mit dem Bild „Simultaneous Dresses“ (Three momen, forms, colours) von Sonia Delaunay, einen Look zu kreieren.

Und das ist das Kunstwerk: / And this is the art work:

Als ich das Bild studierte, war mir sofort klar, dass es dieses Mal nicht mit einem Look getan war, es mussten drei sein. Ich habe daher in meinem Schrank nach drei Kleidern gestöbert, die die Farben der Kleider auf dem Bild aufgreifen, und ich bin tatsächlich fündig geworden. Das erste Kleid ist blau-weiß, das zweite braun und schwarz mit roten Accessoires, und das dritte ist schwarz mit blauem Accessoire. Um die Kacheln in Sonia Delaunays Bild aufzugreifen, habe ich mich beim fotografieren auf einen gekachelten Boden gestellt. Außerdem konnte ich mir nicht verkneifen, am rechten Bildrand zwei Abschnitte mit Kacheln hinzuzufügen, die denen in Sonias Bild ähneln. Auch bei der Farbe des Hintergrundes habe ich mich am Kunstwerk orientiert. Und das ist meine Interpretation:

When I studied the art work I instantly was sure that one look wouldn´t do this time, it had to be three. So I combed through my wardrobe for three dresses with colours, that respond to those in the art work. And I found what I was looking for. The first dress is blue and white, the second one is brown and black with red accessories, and the third one is black with a blue accessory. To respond to the tiles in Sonia’s painting, I was standing on a tiled floor, when I took the photo. And I couldn’t resist to add two differently tiled sections to the right edge of the photo. Also for the background of the photo I picked up the colours of the art work. And this is my interpretation:
