Teddy – Reni´s Odds and Sods

Hallo meine Lieben,

ich glaube jeder hatte schon Frühlingsgefühle. Die Knospen zeigten sich und die Vögel zwitscherten morgens bereits um die Wette. Doch dann hat uns das Wetter einen Strich durch die Rechnung gemacht. Es beschert uns zur Zeit nämlich ein Tief aus Sibirien, gepaart mit eisigem Ostwind und Minusgraden. Daher müssen die Outfit-Ideen für den Frühling noch ein wenig auf ihr Shooting warten. Es gilt, sich warm einzupacken, wenn man ohne Erkältung davonkommen will.

Mein rotes Teddytop kommt mir da wie gerufen. Ich habe es mir schon vor einiger Zeit selbst genäht, lange bevor der Hype von Mänteln und Jacken aus Teddystoff losging. Manchmal bin ich einfach meiner Zeit voraus, hihi.

everyone was in spring mood already I guess. The first buds showed up and the birds were chirping about the bet. But then the weather thwarted us. It brought us a weather deep from Siberia, accompanied by icy easterly wind and freezing temperatures. So the outfit ideas for spring have to wait to be shooted. It´s necessary to get dressed warmly to avoid a bad cold.

So my red teddy top comes as called. I made it myself a while ago already, long before this hype about teddy coats and jackets started. Sometimes I´m just ahead of my time, hihi.

Das Top ist tailliert geschnitten und hat am Saum kleine Seitenschlitze und einen weiten Stehkragen mit Tunnelzug. Ich trage meine Leder-Jogpants und schwarze Schnürer dazu. So kann ich der Kälte trotzen, meint ihr nicht?

The top is tailored cut and it has got little side-slits at its hem and a wide stand-up collar with drawstring. So I´m able to defy the cold, don´t you think so?

wusstet ihr, dass eine der neuen Pantone-Trendfarben für 2018 ARCADIA, eine Mischung aus Blau und Grün, ist? Diese Farbe steht allen Frauen, egal welche Haarfarbe sie haben. Sie macht gute Laune und bringt Farbe in den Alltag.

Mein heutiger Look ist ein weiteres Beispiel für Stilbruch, über den ich in meinem letzten Beitrag ausführlich berichtet habe. Das florale Maxikleid wird durch entsprechendes Styling mit einem Teddymantel und schwarzen Combat-Boots wintertauglich gemacht. Die Farbe Arcadia des Teddymantels wiederholt sich im Blütenmuster des Kleides. Wenn es noch kälter ist, trage ich eine blickdichte schwarze Strumpfhose darunter.

Der Teddymantel ist übrigens ein Vintage-Schätzchen aus meinem Kleiderschrank. Ich war ein paarmal drauf und dran, ihn zu entsorgen. Nun bin ich froh, es nicht getan zu haben. Sein Oversize-Schnitt ist wieder total angesagt und nun sogar auch die Farbe! Eigentlich wollte ich den Teddytrend nicht mitmachen, weil ich befürchtet habe, er sei zu kurzlebig. Aber nun…..

did you know, that one of the new Pantone-Trend-colours for 2018 is ARCADIA, a mixture of blue and green? This colour suits every woman, no matter what the colour of their hair is. It makes good mood and brings colour into everyday life.

My look of today is another example for incongruity of style, about which I have reported in my last post. The floral maxi-dress becomes winterized by appropriate styling with a teddy coat and black combat boots. The teddy coat´s colour Arcadia is repeated in the flower pattern of the dress. If it´s even colder, I wear opaque black tights underneath.

Btw, the teddy coat is one of the vintage darlings from my closet. I was about to give it away once or twice. Now I´m happy, I didn´t. The oversize cut is very up to date again these days and now even the colour is! Actually I wanted to ignore the teddy trend because I was afraid it´s too short lived. But now…..
