Tweed und Bouclé spielen in der aktuellen Herbst- und Wintermode eine große Rolle. Nicht nur bei Chanel, sondern auch bei vielen anderen Designern und Marken. Mich wundert das nicht, denn wie kann man sich in der kalten Jahreszeit schöner warm halten als in diesen wunderschönen Stoffen? Tweed kommt ursprünglich aus Schottland. Es ist ein grob gewebter, noppiger, robuster Stoff aus Schurwolle. Ursprünglich wurde Tweed handgewebt, und zwar in Köperbindung und mit traditionellen Mustern, den sogenannten „Tartans“ als Material für die schottischen Kilts. Tweed eignet sich aber auch für die Herstellung von Mänteln, Jacken, Möbelbezügen, Accessoires und vielen anderen Dingen. Mittlerweile enthält Tweed auch andere Materialien wie Kamelhaar, Kaschmir, Alpaka oder auch Chemiefasern. Unter Bouclé versteht man ein grobes Gewebe, das aus verschiedenen Garnen mit Schlaufen und Schlingen besteht.Dadurch wird die Oberfläche des Stoffes unregelmäßig und zeigt Verdickungen. Für moderne Boucléstoffe werden häufig Effektgarne verwendet. Bouclé wird für die Herstellung von Winterkleidung wie Mänteln und Jacken verwendet.
Tweed and Bouclé play quite a role in the current autumn and winter fashion. Not only at Chanel, but at many other designers and brands too. That doesn´t surprise me, because is there a better way to keep warm in the cold season but in these beautiful fabrics? Tweed originally comes from Scotland. It´s a coarsely woven, nubbed robust fabric of virgin wool. It used to be handwoven and in twill weave with traditional patterns, the so called „Tartans“ as material for the Scottish kilts. But Tweed is also used for the production of coats, jackets, furniture covers, accessories and many other things. Meanwhile Tweed contains other materials too, such as camel hair, cashmere, alpaka or even synthetic fibres. Bouclé is meant to be a coarse fabric, which is made from different yarns with loops and slings. This makes the surface of the fabric uneven and it shows thickenings. For modern Bouclé fabrics fancy yarns are often used. Bouclé is used for the production of winter clothes such as coats and jackets.
Boucléblazer / Bouclé blazer
Mein Boucléblazer hat ein Glencheckmuster in den Farben Schwarz, Naturweiß und Beige. Er ist einreihig geknöpft und leicht oversized geschnitten. So passt auch ein Pullover darunter wie der cremeweiße, den ich hier trage. Auch meine Jeans ist cremeweiß. Die schwarzen Chelseaboots und die Tasche, die die Farben des Blazers aufgreift, machen den Look komplett. Ach ja, eine Sonnenbrille darf natürlich auch nicht fehlen!
My Bouclé blazer has got a Glencheck pattern in the colours black, off white and beige. It’s single buttoned and has a slight oversized cut. So I can wear a pullover underneath like the off-white one I´m wearing here. My jeans are off-white too. My black Chelsea boots and the bag, which repeats the colours of the blazer, complete the look. And yes, sunglasses must not be missing of course.
Tweedmantel / Tweed Coat
Der Tweedmantel hat die gleichen Farben wie der Blazer. Er hat ein Fischgrätmuster und wird mit einem Gürtel geschlossen. Er hat zwar auch Druckknöpfe, die ich aber nie benutze. Besonders schön an dem Mantel finde ich auch die Raglanärmel. Er ist so weit geschnitten, dass mein schwarzer Wollpullover mit dem cremefarbenen Intarsienmuster spielend darunter passt. Ich trage dazu eine cognacfarbene Cordhose, schwarze Chelseaboots und eine braun-schwarze Sonnenbrille.
The Tweed coat has got the same colours as the blazer. It has a fishbone pattern and is closed with a belt. It has snap buttons too, but I never use them. What I like best about the coat are its raglan sleeves. The coat has an oversized cut, so that I can easily wear my black sweater with the off-white intarsia pattern underneath. I´m wearing cognac coloured corduroy trousers, Chelsea boots and brown and black sunglasses with the look.
Bomberjacke aus Bouclé / Bouclé bomber jacket
Diese moderne Interpretation einer Boucléjacke könnte von Chanel sein, findet ihr nicht? Der Stoff mit den Effektgarnen, die hübschen Knöpfe und der moderne Schnitt erinnern mich jedenfalls sehr an Karls Handschrift. Die Jacke hat ein Karomuster in den Farben Schwarz, Weiß, Silber und Royalblau. Ich trage sie hier zu einer schwarzen Marlenehose und einem hellgrauen Pullover. Schwarze Schnürboots, ein schwarzes Umhängetäschchen und eine Sonnenbrille gehören auch zum Look.
This modern interpretation of a Bouclé jacket could be of Chanel, don´t you think so? Actually the jacket with the fancy yarns, the pretty buttons and the modern cut reminds me a lot of Karl´s handwriting. The jacket has a check pattern with the colours black, white, silver and royal blue. Here I´m wearing it with black Marlene trousers and a light grey sweater. Black laced booties and a little black shoulder bag are also part of the look.
